Standing proud!

Maddy pulled herself up to stand this morning on the ottoman/coffee (draped in a table cloth to protect against cats…futile). She has done this in her pack n play (consistently as of yesterday) but never on the furniture alone until now. I can’t describe the cuteness of her kneeling at the thing and then suddenly realizing she could raise herself up. Her eyes widened as she did it, like “Hey, cool!” And look at that proud little smile.

So, army crawling at 10.5 months, crawling on all fours at 12 months, pulling up to stand at about13.5 months. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a little cruising & walking soon. But no rush. Crawling is such a crucial part of development, and it strengthens the neck & core. Essential for all kids, esp with Torticollis. And she loves it.
